The Power of Words
I’ve long been a believer in the power of words. The way we use them towards and about each other can lift someone up, or tear them down. The way we use them to speak to ourselves can imprison us in our own thoughts and beliefs. They can chart the course for our lives, like it or not. It’s so important to always choose them wisely.
For 2021 I chose “purpose” to be my word for the year, to guide and focus me, and it has served me well. Now that the new year is almost here, it is time to choose a new word to set my intention for 2022.
I’ve been considering “joy”. I really need to recognize and allow more of this into my life right now. When I choose a word usually it chooses me, and “joy” has been popping up a lot lately. I’m still planning to sit with it a while before deciding, and will share my word of the year on an upcoming episode of Empowering Women in Real Estate – The Podcast later this month.
