Striving To Be Centered!

As I’ve been reading, “Girl, Stop Apologizing” by Rachel Hollis along with our Empowering Women In Real Estate Book Club, there have been many great take aways.

My favorite so far is the concept of striving to be “centered” instead of balanced.

How many roles are you juggling on a daily basis? It can feel like a constant struggle to balance all the things, but balance is a facade. It is impossible to give equally to all the things all the time.

Instead, I love the idea of focusing on being centered, grounded. If I am centered and at peace with myself, I will be better able to manage all the roles and people and moving parts. If I am firmly grounded then I can give as needed, when and where without losing myself … and my sanity.

As I am about to embark on an incredibly hectic week, I am holding onto this idea and using it to stay calm and “in control”.

Have you read the book?
