***Friday Favorites***

It’s time for another edition of Friday Favorites!

This week I’d like to share my favorite clothing subscription service, Stitch Fix.

I don’t always love shopping, and definitely don’t always have time to shop. I also tend to get tired of the same few clothing stores that are near me, and I just don’t have the energy to do the whole mall experience.

Enter the clothing subscription service!

I’ve been using Stitch Fix for years, I just got my 19th “fix” yesterday. The premise is simple … you fill out an online profile that includes information about your style, your wardrobe needs and your budget. You can even share photos of yourself and set up a Pinterest board that your stylist can follow. Then, at the frequency that you request, your stylist will select 5 items just for you based on your preferences and your “style”.

When you receive your box in the mail you will have several days to try the items on, then “check out” online keeping what you want, and returning what you don’t in the postage mail shipping bag. The fee for the styling service is $20, and it will be deducted from the cost of any of the items that you purchase. If you purchase everything in the box that is sent to you, then you will receive a discount off your total purchase.

The thing I love most about this services is that it exposes me to things that I would likely have never picked out for myself. Some of my most favorite things in my wardrobe … my green jacket, my wedge booties, my burgundy cross body bag … all came from Stitch Fix. I can tell you that I would not have chosen these things from the store.

This service is also great when you are looking for something special. I’m headed off to Tysons, VA today to speak at the Virginia Women’s Business Conference. I’ve been wanting lots of different options as I figured out what I wanted to wear, so I increased the frequency of my shipments and specifically requested professional and slightly dressier dresses so I would have lots to choose from.

I love Stitch Fix too because they help me to save time, no trips to the store or time spent searching online. It’s like Christmas when I come home to a box, you never know what will be inside! Not everything that I’ve been sent has been a hit. It’s rare when I keep everything in the box, but I also can’t remember a single time that there wasn’t at least one thing in the box that I didn’t love.

If you want to check them out, I’ve included my referral link here — use the Stitch Fix link and you and I will both get $25 off our purchase …
