Tell Us Your Story!

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to spend some time with a new friend that I met through the Empowering Women in Real Estate Facebook group (I so enjoyed our conversation Louise Molton!), and chatting with her reminded me (again) that there is so much more to all of us than just what we see on the surface or even in our day to day interactions.

The barista at your favorite coffee shop, the receptionist at your office, the agent on the other side of the transaction … everyone has a story that is uniquely theirs and worthy of knowing.

It is easy when we are so busy rushing from this to that to miss out on the simple joys in life, the greatest of which is other people. Take a little time each day to get to know those that you are interacting with a little better. Ask an extra question, invite that agent to coffee or lunch after the transaction closes, say “hello, how are you” and really wait to hear the answer.
