How Happy Are You?

What percentage of the time are you happy with your business? Not just happy with how much business you are doing, but what is your happiness level with your day to day, the actual “work” of your business?

Someone asked me this question yesterday, which I thought was really interesting. No one has ever asked me that before.

After thinking about it, I can honestly say that I am happy a good 80-90% of the time.

I love my work, my team, and my Empowering Women In Real Estate community. There are challenges each day, some far less fun than others. There is a lot of stress and responsibility that comes with owning a team. We have 4 full time employees and several part time. Every week it is our responsibility that they are paid, no matter what. There’s rent to be paid, supplies to be purchased, and client events to pay for.

A business in real estate means no ceiling, which is amazing … but there’s also no floor. The rewards are great, and the risks are high. It’s too hard and too expensive to be halfway in. Commitment is required if you want to succeed.

And at the end of the day, no matter how tired, no matter how long, I’d choose it all over again.
