At this event we will feature keynote speakers that will teach the social media, negotiation and trust building strategies you need, as well as spotlight successful realtors who have evolved their businesses with a focus on longevity.

We will also wrap up the event with a book signing by Karen Cooper, author of “Empowering Women in Real Estate”.

Shannon McKinstrie
“The Real Deal On Reels: How to Unleash the Power of Short-Form Video for Your Real Estate Business“
Shannon McKinstrie, founder of Boutique Social, is a social media mentor, trainer and speaker for business owners who want to make an impact and get big results through organic + proven social media strategies.
Shannon’s passion for marketing began when she studied TV Production in high school, then majored in Communications and Marketing at Virginia Tech before heading to Atlanta after college to work at CNN Headquarters.
Boutique Social was started in 2015 as a full-service social media agency and has now evolved into a consulting agency where Shannon mentors other Social Media Managers through her Social Biz System course, 1:1 consulting services & co-founding the Social Squad Society membership.
When Shannon is not working, she’s spending time with her husband and two daughters in North Carolina. On the weekends, you can usually find her exploring the newest restaurant, eating queso, and drinking a margarita!
Marcella Oakley
“Tactical Empathy in Real Estate“
As one of the instructors and coaches for The Black Swan Group, Marcella Oakley has unique experience in both law enforcement and Real Estate. Her diverse work history and background makes her an outstanding advocate and negotiator. The CEO and founder of The Black Swan Group is Chris Voss, author of Never Split the Difference.
During her career in law enforcement, Marcella served as both a detective and a hostage negotiations team member in the Washington DC area. Trained as a forensic interviewer, Marcella specialized in investigating crimes against children. Both roles were difficult yet rewarding, making her a powerhouse in sensitive and difficult circumstances.
In 2013, Marcella transitioned to working in Real Estate, adapting her skills from law enforcement to her new career. With her strong consulting and negotiation skills, Marcella’s Real Estate team has become one of the top teams in the Northern Virginia/DMV area.
A native of Alexandria, Virginia, when Marcella isn’t seeking out and consulting clients, you can find her spending time with her family and pets. She has been involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for nearly nine years, and has served as a board member for the past three years. In her freetime, she loves taking trips to the beach and is an arduous reader.
Karen Cooper

Karen Cooper is a wife, mom to 3 sons, and owner of the Platinum Group Real Estate team at ΓEA⅃ Brokerage along with her business partner Vicky Noufal, a team of 50+ phenomenal women and moms based in Northern Virginia and serving clients with agents located throughout the US. Licensed since 2002, Karen personally served well over 700 clients during her sales career, and many more through her team that has closed over $1.4 BILLION in sales volume since its inception in 2015.
A nationally recognized expert, she has been featured on local, regional and global podcasts, and has been a speaker at women’s real estate and business conferences. Passionate about helping women in the real estate industry, she is the Founder and CEO of Empowering Women in Real Estate®, with over 38,000 members nationwide, host of Empowering Women In Real Estate® – The Podcast, and the principle behind the EWRE® Inner Circle monthly membership coaching program for women in real estate. An avid real estate investor, she is actively building her personal portfolio, and loves helping other women to do the same.

With a wealth of experience buying, selling, and relocating in multiple states, Holly has built a successful real estate business in West Michigan, Northern Virginia, and now Florida. As the wife of a pastor, she has experienced the highs and lows of home buying and selling firsthand, which gives her a deep understanding of her clients’ needs and challenges.
Holly was born and raised in beautiful West Michigan and also spent many years in Northern Virginia. In 2023, Holly and her family moved to gorgeous Venice, FL, and are loving life on the Southwest Gulf Coast. As a musician and piano teacher, Holly spends her spare time leading worship at a local church with her husband, Jason, but their greatest joy in life has been raising their three grown children and one adorable granddaughter!

Chrisie is a proud member Platinum Group Real Estate at Real Broker, LLC. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, a graduate of Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in education, Chrisie knows the value of educating and guiding her clients through the process of purchasing and selling a home in today’s ever changing real estate market. Chrisie and her family moved to Princeton, NJ in July of 2020.
She continues to market to her Virginia sphere and split her time between the two states. She works collaboratively with teammates to continue to provide her clients with excellent personalized service. Chrisie enjoyed living and working in the DC Metro area since 1989 and has witnessed tremendous change and growth in the Northern Virginia area over the years. She has been a full-time Realtor since 2012 and absolutely loves the process of helping families search for their dream home.

Tanya has been selling real estate since 1997 and has established a successful team, Tanya & Co., which is consistently ranked as one of the top teams in the Northern Virginia area as well as the Northern Neck of Virginia where she lives with her husband, Kevin Stakem.
After graduating from Virginia Tech, Tanya spent several years in the banking and real estate settlement industries before finding her true passion in real estate sales. Her desire to help others, along with her competitive nature, allows her to be successful and respected in her market.
